Our mission is to create beautiful things that are thoughtfully produced from start to finish.

Our Difference

Milk & Rose combines vibrant visuals with responsible manufacturing techniques to create products that function as well as they look.

Using only the highest quality materials and jewelry making techniques, we aim to make pieces that last a lifetime - effectively changing the way we shop.

Being a responsible shopper isn’t easy - but it should be.

Instead of buying just to have it, buy it because you love it. We believe you should never have to decide between beautiful design and doing the right thing.

To romanticize sustainability means to…

put beauty above bottom-line

community over conversion

responsibility over profit

Responsibility

We set out to change the way we consume, not just when it is convenient. Thus, we have set out to create a brand that builds sustainable practices at every turn.

We not only use sustainable practices and ethically source our materials; we also only use FSC-certified packaging so we know our biodegradable boxes are also supporting the environment.

Sustainability

What we love the most about our production process is the efficiency of energy and material savings. Almost nothing is thrown away at Milk & Rose.

Damaged items - including your returns - get reworked
into new pieces, keeping metal waste at its lowest.

This is another reason why we only use fine metals; we can up-cycle them without releasing toxic chemicals.

Accessibility

No more compromising between price and quality.

Most companies have over a 10x markup on their fine metal jewelry. This restricts many consumers from choosing quality jewelry that will not harm the environment. We choose affordability over profit, and don’t mark up our jewelry the way most consumers are used to.

As for our handmade pieces, because we create everything in-house at our small studio, supporting 2 generational artisans, we are able to offer our high-quality products at competitive prices.

Hi Lovelies!

My name is Pelin, and I’m the creator of Milk & Rose. I started this journey in 2018 with the dream of making a difference with not only good intentions, but by taking the right actions.

With the crucial state of our environment’s destruction, we consumers decide what is being put in our world with our demand. I wanted create a business that you feel safe supporting, knowing you are not being a part of the problem, but the solution. Of course it’s best if we don’t consume at all without need, but it’s in our nature and can be done responsibly. I support every small and large business that follow the right ideals. They are not competition, they are team members. We are all in this together.

My goal moving forward is to expand our product offerings with these same ideals to offer an alternative marketplace to the businesses that care more about capital than our future.

Please join this movement, question the ingredients and background of every product you spend a penny on.

Invest in your future. Invest in the planet’s future.

Hugs, Pelin

We are not perfect, but our intention is.

We improve our operations as we learn more sustainable ways and as the world offers better options.

If you have any feedback or ideas we can use to further improve our practices, please contact us at hello@themilkandrose.com

Milk & Rose is woman-owned and operated. We refuse investors because we never will accept prioritizing money over sustainability, and want to remain this outlier in the often environmentally-damaging jewelry industry.

Woman-Owned

We produce most of our products outside of the US. Our products are either made in Italy or Turkey. The materials sourced for our products are always either local to the region where they were manufactured, or ethically-sourced elsewhere. Eco-friendly practices are used by our manufacturers, and we work to ensure no fine metals are wasted.

Fair Trade

We have 2 long-time generational artisans that are paid fairly and treated ethically. We support the living wage and provide safe and healthy working conditions at our small studio in our founder’s home country, Turkey. Our handmade process is slow and we intend to keep it that way to avoid high pressure at our studio.

Fair Wages

Our handmade products are made using traditional methods of jewelry making. Starting from scrap silver or silver beads, pieces are built from scratch. Each item is then meticulously perfected and polished for beautiful results that honor the generations of craftsmanship that came before us.
