Sterling Silver
Composition
Sterling Silver is a precious metal made from 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals for strength. Pure silver is too soft for most uses, which makes sterling silver the ideal for fine jewelry. We ensure our sterling silver is nickel-free so it is hypoallergenic.
Cleaning
- Gently polish with a silver polishing cloth to restore shine.
- For deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water and a mild, non-abrasive soap. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive materials and soaps.
Storage
- Store your pieces individually in an airtight bag or pouches made for silver jewelry to slow oxidation.
- Always store your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Gold Vermeil
Composition
Gold vermeil is made by layering a thick coating of solid gold over a base of 925 sterling silver. It is at least five times thicker than gold plating, and lasts several years or even decades with proper care. For more information, check out our plating comparisons here

Solid Gold
Composition
Solid gold is a precious metal that can be made with pure gold or strengthened with other metals. The purity is measured in karats (k) with 24k being pure gold and lower karats like 18k or 14k having other metals in their composition.

- For a deeper clean, use a very soft-bristled toothbrush to remove any buildup after soaking.
